Boathouse is a gem! The reception staff were super cute and helpful. Our double room was warm and comfortable, perfect for a cozy night. Being so close to the harbour offered us fabulous views. A real standout was how they opened the kitchen for us on boxing day for a meal!

I enjoyed its service-oriented and extremely helpful employees.
The room was great-sized, functional and included an electric kettle, central heating and a TV. And there was a great view of the marina. The location was perfect and close to a garden and a harbour. The hotel was set in a pretty quiet area.

The food at Boathouse was proper lush, with tasty meals that hit just right! The staff were ace, always keen to help, and made sure to accommodate special dietary needs. Plus, the views from the dining area are as mint as they come- fine! A definite highlight was the keen chef who nailed my pasta dish to perfection.
On the flip side, navigating from the ferry to the Boathouse was a bit of a mission, and I reckon they should invest in some transport options . The room could've done with a good spruce up instead of feeling like a dive, but everything else had a certain charm.

The hotel was beautifully decorated with inviting colors and comfortable furniture. It was also conveniently located near the harbour, perfect for gentle walks.
A few more handrails would enhance accessibility.

The family room featured a lovely view over the marina, with ample space for three people. The recently refurbished en-suite was clean and tidy.
The decor throughout the hotel felt outdated and reminiscent of the 70s, with carpets that seemed to have seen better days. The breakfast, while made to order, included some less-than-stellar sausages and a soggy potato waffle. The shower pressure in the en-suite was lacking, and the sound insulation left much to be desired with noise filtering in from outside and other functions.
